MUSICAL'19 - International Workshop on Mobile Ubiquitous Systems, Infrastructures, Communications and AppLications - Welcome and Committees
Welcome Message from the General Chairs
Welcome to the second International Workshop on Mobile Ubiquitous Systems, Infrastructures, Communications and AppLications (MUSICAL 2019) in Kyoto, Japan. The workshop will be held in conjunction with the 17th IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications (PerCom 2019).
The MUSICAL'19 workshop is a forum to discuss technologies related to future mobile ubiquitous systems, from every possible aspect of information and communication technologies. Since future mobile ubiquitous systems could include a wide range of technologies, including wired and wireless communications, data processing and analytics, mobile and social applications, etc., this workshop accepts all of them to have beneficial discussions related to the upcoming mobile ubiquitous world.
The workshop is organized in a manner that fosters interaction and exchange of ideas among the participants. Besides paper presentations, time is allocated to stimulate debate on existing solutions or open challenges. This is expected to provide a discussion forum among young researchers and students, which might envision novel ideas that will have a radically different perspective on the current-state.
The first workshop of this series was held in the same manner in 2016 at Hiroshima, Japan, and this time we decided to inherit the successful experience and hold the second workshop at Kyoto. This time we had 8 submissions and accepted 7 quality papers out of them.
We would like to thank all the program committee members who worked hard to review the papers and join the workshop to facilitate discussion among participants. Also, we wish to thank the organizing committee of PerCom 2019, especially the workshop chairs, Takahiro Hara, Delphine Reinhardt, and Nirmalya Roy for their great support to make this event successful. Last but not least, we would like to thank the authors for the contributions to MUSICAL 2019.
