PerVehicle'19 - 1st International Workshop on Pervasive Computing for Vehicular Systems - Welcome and Committees

Welcome Message from the PerVehicle Co-Chairs

The First International Workshop on Pervasive Computing for Vehicular Systems (PerVehicle 2019) aims to provide researchers and practitioners a forum for presenting and discussing research challenges on pervasive and mobile computing technologies for intelligent vehicular systems. Vehicular systems have become more significant for our society. For example, connected vehicles will provide new network architectures and middleware to enable new pervasive applications like intelligent platooning, cooperative optimization of traffic flows, automated vehicles and intelligent vehicle-pedestrian safety systems. In addition, drones and UAVs will bring new concepts and ideas for smart mobility and society. Pervasive computing technologies including wireless networking, mobile and distributed computing, sensor systems, ambient intelligence, and smart devices, will play more important roles in designing, managing and realizing intelligent, smart vehicular systems. The main focus of this workshop is on such pervasive and mobile computing for/by vehicular systems.

The workshop's international technical program committee has reviewed submitted papers regarding their quality and relevance to the workshop topics. In total, PerVehicle 2019 has attracted 11 submissions, from which nine high-quality papers have been carefully compiled into the workshop's program.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the PerVehicle technical program committee for providing detailed and thoughtful reviews, and thus making it possible to create an exciting program. Moreover, we would like to thank the PerCom organizing committee, particularly the workshops chairs, the publications chairs and the general chairs for their support. We also thank all the authors and the workshop attendees for their contributions and participation. Please enjoy the workshop and help establish new collaborations.
